On Thursday, January 29, L-RAMP will organise the latest in a series of capacity building programmes designed for Innovators receiving Incubation Support.
The PanIIT-2008 event is slated to be held at IIT Madras, Chennai during December 19-21, 2008. The venue and timing are very appropriate, given that IIT Madras is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this year. RIN/LRAMP will be participating in the event.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, will inaugurate the event that is sponsored by industry leaders and is expected to have over 3000 alumni participants from around the globe and feature a galaxy of eminent speakers.
Following a rigorous 3-stage selection process, L-RAMP will present the 4th L-RAMP Award of Excellence at the CLT Hall in IIT, Madras on Sunday, December 21, at 2 p.m. 11 Awards of Excellence and Certificates of Appreciation will be given to winners in seven categories - Grassroots Innovator, Young Innovator, Woman Innovator, Enterprise, Investor, Media and Lifetime Achievement. All awards, excluding Lifetime Achievement Award, will carry a trophy, certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 25,000. Lifetime Achievement Award will carry a trophy and Rs. 50,000.
The sixth pre-incubation programme for grassroots innovators will be conducted on Saturday 26th of July 2008 from 10am to 4pm at hall 1, IC&SR, IIT Madras.
The purpose of this programme is to enable the innovators to innovate with market perspective and also to think through how they can address the existing problems in the society with their innovations. It also helps them to have better understanding of the challenging journey from idea to market.
As part of our services offered to innovators, L-RAMP is organizing a quarterly review meeting and a parallel session on capacity building for all the 18 incubatees on 15th July, 2008. The idea is to review the innovations, achievements, impact and plan of action in next quarter. As part of capacity building session, innovators will also get a chance to interact and share each other’s learning. L-RAMP will, too, share strategies on marketing, commercializing products and raising funds for business.
L-RAMP is conducting its fifth pre incubation programme for grassroots innovators on Saturday 17th May 2008 from 10 am to 4 pm at Hall 1, IC&SR, IIT Madras.
