A Capacity building session.: Mr. Chandrasekar, an entrepreneur, addresses participantsIn the process of screening and incubating ideas with potential for creating significant social impact, L-RAMP has identified a need to build capacities before ideas or innovators become ready for incubation support. L-RAMP’s interactions with numerous innovators – hailing from different backgrounds and offering ideas for different sectors – have further helped distill the understanding into a universal set of innovator needs.

 Capacity building session is designed to provide innovators with:

1. A fair picture of what they can expect in their idea’s journey to reality (when the idea actually enters the market),
2. Usable knowledge on how to prepare for each step of the journey, and
3. Guidelines to increase their chances of success.

Capacity building session covers areas such as:

• Problem identification
• Developing stronger ideas
• Designing better
• Low cost prototyping
• Assessing the market
• Protecting intellectual property
• Licensing and technology transfer
• Understanding an investor’s expectations
• Finding investment
• Common mistakes innovators make and
• Networking

Through this programme, L-RAMP brings innovators in touch with experts who are part of its network.
