Creativity and innovativeness are traits that show up early on in an individual. This is the insight driving the My Idea Programme, an initiative that targets the student community.

Designed as a two-phase competition, The My Idea Programme encourages the student community to pursue their ideas and innovate solutions to important social problems. The Programme stresses ideas for solving problems in agriculture, dairy, water and energy.

Phase 1 of the My Idea Programme is an intra-college contest of ideas. Through the contest, students are selected and recognised with certificates and cash prizes, sponsored by L-RAMP. Ideas are evaluated for technical and economic feasibility, innovativeness, social impact and potential for commercialisation, to name a few criteria.

In Phase 2 of the My Idea Programme, winners from Phase 1 participate in an inter-college contest and also in capacity building workshops on innovation and commercialisation of technology.
