We also work with creative individuals from the grassroots. The proximity of these individuals to the ground level is a key factor in helping these individuals innovate practical solutions for the problems that arise in the day-to-day lives of the communities they belong to.(consider this sentence for revision) However, our experience shows that such innovations, built at the level of the individual, might lack critical features necessary for scale-up and enterprise creation. As a response, we have created the Pre-incubation Programme (PiP).

The purpose of the PiP is to build the capacity of innovators to help them better understand how to innovate with the market perspective and the journey from idea to enterprise. Specifically, the PiP is for innovators who show potential to be incubated under L-RAMP in the future and could benefit greatly through exposure to positive lessons in skill and attitude development. The program consists of a series of skill and knowledge building sessions on creativity, product development, writing business plans, protecting Intellectual Property (IP) and other aspects.

So far, we have conducted 2 PiPs from which 65 innovators have benefited.
