L-RAMP Innovation Awards

To succeed commercially, an innovation needs committed innovators and entrepreneurs, bold investors and socially responsible media. Our awards offer recognition to each of these groups. In doing so, they keep the spirit of innovation alive.

The beginning of a journey

For innovators in particular, the recognition validates their effort, and encourages them to develop their ideas by stepping forward for funding, mentoring and incubation support. In this sense, rather than being the culmination of a journey, the awards signal the beginning of one. They are a launch pad to greater success.

The first L-RAMP Awards ceremony was held in 2005. Three years on, with over 45 winners, the awards continue to reward talent and encourage novel ideas that benefit the rural poor.

Award categories

The L-RAMP Award of Excellence or Certificate of Appreciation is given to winners in seven categories:

A cash award: Rs. 50,000/- for the Lifetime Achievement Award; Rs. 25,000/- for awards in the other six categories
