My Idea Programme

A My Idea Programme in ProgressA My Idea Programme in ProgressCreativity and innovativeness are traits that show up early on in an individual. This is the insight driving the My Idea Programme, an initiative that targets the student community.

Designed as a two-phase competition, the My Idea Programme encourages the student community to pursue their ideas and find solutions to important social problems. It stresses ideas for solving problems in agriculture, dairy, water and energy.

Phases of the My Idea Programme

Phase 1
It is an intra-college contest of ideas. Students are selected and recognised with certificates and cash prizes, sponsored by L-RAMP. Some of the criteria for evaluating ideas include:

  • Technical and economic feasibility
  • Innovativeness
  • Social impact
  • Potential for commercialisation

Phase 2
It is an inter-college contest for Phase 1 winners. Aside from the competition, capacity building workshops on innovation and commercialisation of technology are held. This equips students with the strategic and technical skills needed to complement raw passion.
